Pink Barn Farm

Pink Barn Farm, located in Sebastopol, grows over 40 varieties of vegetables, herbs and fruit, focusing on warm season storage crops, fresh greens, herbs and over-wintered crops.

Farmers Rose & Gavin met (and fell in love) while working on a farm together in Santa Clara County. In 2017, they bought a piece of land in Sebastopol and turned it into Pink Barn Farm. Rose is the head farmer, doing the majority of the farm work (tractor work, harvest, propagation, crop planning etc.) and business management. Gavin is the on-farm business consultant, electrician, plumber, machinist, delivery driver, farm hand….etc. They are honored and grateful to serve their community as organic farmers.

Pink Barn Farm practices agro-ecology, which combines the science of agriculture with the wisdom of mother nature. They’ve studied, visited, and learned from many other farmers over the years, and their practices reflect this broad range of experience.

Pink Barn’s farm system thrives on rich compost, gentle tillage, ample wildlife habitats, and lots of manual labor. The farm follows strict organic growing practices and values the health of the land above all else. They are constantly evolving their systems to align with mother nature in everything they do. The cornerstone of their operation is building a rich and active soil and surrounding ecosystem.
