Gold Ridge Organic Farms

Gold Ridge Organic Farms is located 50 miles northwest of San Francisco in the rolling hills of Sebastopol in beautiful Sonoma County, California. Founder-Farmer Brooke Hazen settled here in 2000 knowing that sandy loam soils and coastal breezes would offer ideal conditions for farming.

The 88 acre farm is Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth (OTCO) and produces a variety of organic heirloom apples, pears, olives, citrus, and medicinal and culinary herbs. All of the award-winning estate-grown olive oils are milled and pressed on-site within hours of harvest for highest medicinal quality, maximum freshness, and best flavors. The resulting oils are fresh, delicious, and high in antioxidants. Their olive oil and olive mill are certified organic by CCOF.

A portion of the orchards are devoted to a selection of coveted and unique citrus varieties, including Meyer Lemons, Mandarin-Kuqmauts, Satsuma Mandarins, and a handful of newly planted Yuzu Citrus. They may be enjoyed fresh or in a number of farm products, including a new line of citrus shrubs (or drinking vinegars) and a much coveted, small production line of co-milled citrus olive oils. The Certified Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oils, apples, and citrus from Gold Ridge Organic Farms are available for sale locally in Sonoma County and the San Francisco Bay Area, farm direct and through FEED Cooperative. Founder-Farmer Brooke Hazen the team at Gold Ridge are grateful to work with FEED Cooperative in order to bring high quality, organic fruit and farm products to the community.

Sixteen acres of the estate orchards are planted to approximately 12,000 apple trees: primarily, Honeycrisps and Fujis, plus 75+ Heirloom Apple varieties. A smaller portion of the orchards are devoted to select Heirloom Asian and Heirloom European pear varieties. Some apples are destined for apple cider vinegar, apple sauce, and Gold Ridge Organic Farms’ own proprietary line of apple products, including Honeycrisp-Fuji Apple Cider Syrup, a classic apple cider vinegar, apple-pear cider vinegar, and apple balsamic vinegar. A commitment to preserving these antique apple varieties serves as a treasured link to the past and ensures their enjoyment by future generations.
